Skarrg Guildmage is one of the newest "Magic: The Gathering" cards spoiled today Jan. 11, 2013 from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming expert expansion set "Gatecrash." Revealed in an article by Priceguy on SvenskMagic.com, Skarrg Guildmage is a deadly weapon for Gruul mages.

Creature - Human Shaman (Uncommon)
RG: Creature you control gain trample until end of turn.
1RG: Target land you control becomes a 4/4 Elemental creature until end of turn. It's still a land.
Thragtusk and Wolfir Silverheart are two notable green creatures that lack trample. Skarrg Guildmage gives them, and all your other large creatures, a way of dealing combat damage to your opponent whenever they're chump blocked.
As a Human, Skarrg Guildmage gets pumped by Mayor of Avabruck and will be uncounterable alongside your Huntmaster of the Fells thanks to Cavern of Souls. It can also be brought back to life with Angel of Glory's Rise.
Skarrg Guildmage's true power lies in its ability to transform your excess lands into an army of 4/4 Elemental creatures, potentially giving them trample as well. This ability is especially deadly in limited formats where Skarrg Guildmage will be able to play a vital defensive and offensive role.
