Ska and Avery's collaboration release party

For the second year in a row, Avery and Ska have combined forces to create a beer ideally suited for a post-ride beverage.  Adam Avery and his brewers came down to Durango and brewed it up with the folks at Ska. A few weeks later Dave Thibodeau and Arlo from Ska went up to Boulder and then they all rode their bikes 426 miles from Avery to Ska, over a ridiculous number of mountain passes.

Join everyone at Avery on Sunday, July 18th for the release of Wheelsucker Wheat Ale and the Kick-Off Party for the 2nd Annual Tour of BoulDurango. Mingle with the founding brewers of Avery Brewing, Oskar Blues Brewing and Ska Brewing as they--along with their respective staffs--carbo-load and prepare for the 470 ride from Boulder to Durango.

The first edition of Wheelsucker Wheat was made at Ska Brewing in 2009 and Brew # 2 (to be released on 7/18) is currently chugging away in fermentation in tanks at Avery Brewing! Expect to taste a SKAVERY version of a traditional German Hefeweizen: clouded to perfection with a zesty and delicious hefe yeast and loaded with esters reminiscent of clove and banana.

Stoked to taste Wheel Sucker Wheat but I'm not going to make it to the party. Is this beer going to be distributed or only available at the breweries?

I've heard a few things, but I remember seeing last years' Wheat at Liquormart in Boulder. I'm sure in a month or so you'll be able to see it there as well as their respective tap rooms.
