SK, a talented rapper and producer from Northern Virginia, has released a new single entitled "Missed The World". This insightful song details the journey of a young musician embarking on a new life. If the song seems to be autobiographical - it's not an accident. SK himself is an ambitious young man with unlimited musical potential.
SK, who was born in Togo and raised in Sierra Leone, likes to blend music from his native African culture with other genres like hip-hop, jazz and even rock and roll. His latest album, Rock N Roll Voodoo, is a similarly hard-hitting concoction of rap and rock.
SK's reputation for creating eclectic sounds has allowed him the opportunity to produce tracks for major label rappers Pusha T, Young Buck, Yo Gotti, Project Pat and Shawty Lo. SK also has placements on DJ Rob's popular Target Squad mixtape series.
SK is steadily building a loyal fan base by performing at local venues such as Fur, Park and Empire. He has also performed at national music festivals like Lollapalooza and SXSW (peep the B.o.B. and DJ Premier shout-outs).
With his song "Missed The World" already getting national recognition, and his video for "Officer" featured on World Star Hip-Hop and other prominent hip-hop websites. SK is confident that 2014 will be his breakout year.
