Pamella Roland presented a beautiful Spring 2014 Ready to Wear collection yesterday during New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and the collection was definitely a hit. Roland debuted a collection that was strongly inspired by the 60's glamour that was seen on the red carpet during last Spring's Cannes Film Festival. Many of the actresses donned retro glamour styles that obviously left a lasting impression on the well known fashion designer.
The show started off with a unique strapless knee length dress that contained a blue honeycomb inspired overlay. This strapless number was accessorized with bright blue pumps and a retro inspired updo. This honeycomb overlay style was also featured for a sheer neckline on a similiar business style dress later in the show. The collection was overloaded with glamour and sophistication, something that Pamella Roland's collections are known for. The floor length gowns were extravagant and expertly structured. Many of the dresses contained beautiful colorblocking and vibrant colors that can make the work wardrobe an exciting one. Knee length dresses were just as abundant as the beautiful red carpet ones that brought up the finale of the runway show. Embellishment played a big part of the collection, as well as silk and jacquard.
