Sixteen puppies dumped at shelter need new homes (Photos)

The number of puppies available for adoption at the Rowan County Animal Shelter just went up. Way up. Sixteen Boxer/Pit Bull Terrier mix puppies had been placed in the trunk of a car and brought to Rowan County animal shelter where they were dropped off.

RCAC is a kill shelter, so these tiny pups need a good home. And FAST. Petfinder lists 31 animals at this shelter. Do the math. There are a few cats. There are a few other dogs. But adding sixteen puppies made the shelter fill up quickly!

Here is the Petfinder link with more information and photos of all the dogs.

Take a look at the photos of the puppies in the slideshow. Each one seems to be cuter than the one before it! The photos show only some of the puppies.

The adoption fee is $70, which includes spay/neuter and a one-year rabies vaccine. The pull fee is also $70. RCAC welcomes out-of-county and out-of-state adoptions.

If you are interested in adopting any of the puppies, please contact Rowan County Animal Control, or visit the shelter.
