Six killed bar shooting: Bullets fly in Cancun during spring break (Video)

While it was originally thought that six were killed in a bar shooting in Cancun on Thursday, March 14, a new report from the Daily Telegraph is now suggesting that a seventh person has sadly lost their life.

At a bar called The Mermaid in Mexico, shot rang out when two gunman stormed into the establishment and started firing at the patrons inside. It is now believed that seven people have died from the horrific incident.

Others were harmed, as well. The Telegraph claims that four others were wounded in the attack.

It’s not yet known why the gunman opened fired at this moment. An investigation is currently pending.

What’s especially sad and worrisome about this particular event is the time that it occurred. While any violent crime is certainly a tragedy, there are many parents who are especially alarmed on Friday morning because they know their kids are in Cancun partying while on Spring Break.

As for the wounded they have been rushed to the hospital. Armed guards are protecting them, as there is fear that they could actually be attacked again.
