Six Flags Great America is introducing a new “Glow in the Park” nighttime parade premiering in the spring of 2010. The parade will showcase a world renown creative team including Cirque Du Soleil’s 
Chief Composter Benoit Jutras. The “Glow in the Park” parade will kick off at 9:30 pm on Memorial Day and run through August 15, 2010. Six Flags Great America in Gurnee is one of the top attractions for family fun in the Chicago, Illinois area.
The “Glow in the Park” parade will add fun, music, color and entertainment to the evening at the popular family attraction in Gurnee, Illinois. The parade will feature drummers, puppeteers, singers, ancers and kinetic stilt walkers to create an unparalleled nighttime spectacular. Glow in the Park will incorporate the artistic talents of a highly distinguished production team creating an unparalleled nighttime parade spectacular at Six Flags Great America.
Great America visitors can expect to see five custom-designed floats, 65 performers and approximately 35 support staff members and technicians. The parade will add to the fun of a day at Great America for kids and adults.
Each float in the parade will be adorned with vibrant-multicolored lights that will illuminate the midways and surround guests with custom-composed cirque-inspired music. Each float will be accompanied by its own plethora of talented performers and characters. The Glow in the Park nighttime parade will start in Hometown Square `and will take approximately 30 minutes to wind through four themed sections including Carousel Plaza, Orleans Place and Mardi Gras.

The Glow in the Park parade will utilize the combined talents of Gary Goddard Entertainment, a world-renowned creative group; who have already successfully produced Glow in the Park parade for several other Six Flags parks. The Gary Goddard Entertainment team is responsible for creating several attractions at various theme parks throughout the world including “The Spiderman Adventure” and “T2/3D” at Universal Studios Florida and “The Jurassic Park River Adventure” at Universal Studios in California. GGE is also the mastermind behind the Georgia Aquarium.
For the Glow in the Park parade in Gurnee, Goddard has enlisted Benoit Jutras, one of Cirque Du Soleil’s premier composers, to produce the music for the parade. Raul Rodriguez, the internationally

Michael La Fleur, whose résumé includes artistic coordinator for Celine Dion’s “A New Day” in Las Vegas, Imagineer for Disney and extensive Broadway musical and play work, will create fluid choreographed numbers for the Glow in the Park performers.
