Siva Kaneswaran says things are 'civil' between The Wanted and One Direction

It made all sorts of headlines in the pop music world when certain members of One Direction and The Wanted got into a public war of words on Twitter back in December. It seemed like all love between the two bands was lost...until now, kind of.

The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran says that the two bands have actually, unexpectedly bumped into each other since the public war of words and it seems like things are actually sort of good between the two bands.

"We have bumped into them over [in the United States]," Siva told OK! Magazine. "Funnily enough they were in the studio next to us rehearsing. It was a long time ago now and that was the last time we saw them. But it was civil!"

Good to know! But don't get your hopes up for any kind of joint tour or collaboration because Siva says the bands are two completely different styles and are going in two different directions.

"They've got a different sound and a different image and we’re on a different path to them," Siva said. "But it’s one of those things, I mean look at Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block! You never know, as you get older. But right now I don’t think that’s going to be possible."

That's for sure, you really can't compare the two bands. Both of them have different sounds and different images. But one things for sure, they're both on the way up with The Wanted filming a new E! reality show and releasing a new album and One Direction currently on their sold-out Take Me Home World Tour, which stops by Denver in July.
