Tonight on "Sister Wives" fans were a bit confused by something that Kody and Janelle Brown shared. On Feb. 9, it was confirmed that Janelle and Kody were stepbrother and stepsister when they got married.

Kody's dad Winn passed away and they talked about it on the show. He was also the husband of Janelle's mom. This means that this couple was stepbrother and stepsister at the time of their wedding. Janelle's mom and Kody's dad got married four months before Kody and Janelle tied the knot. Their parents met because of Janelle bonding with Kody and Meri and her mom wanted to know what was going on with them.

This has a few fans asking questions on Twitter and Facebook tonight. The thing is there is nothing wrong with this legally. The couple were not related by blood. They were not raised as siblings. It is just one more reason for people to talk bad about this polygamy family, but honestly it is more common than they realize.

Don't miss new episodes of "Sister Wives" on Sunday nights on TLC.
