Is there a difference between a talk show filming at your school and a controversial reality show doing the same thing? This seems to be the center of what is a rather fascinating drama brewing within the Las Vegas school system.
Basically, here's what we are talkign about. According to TMZ, the Brown family behind TLC's "Sister Wives" decided to attend the Sheila Tarr Elementary School's Valentine's Ball -- an event that seemed like a prime time for both the students and parents to celebrate. However, many parents were unhappy about cameras being present -- but all they really got out of it was that their children's faces would be blurred out and the location of the school would no be mentioned on TV.
As for why this decision was made, a rep for the Clark County School District said that the Browns deserved the same consideration as when other television shows -- including "Ellen" and ABC News -- all did some filming of their own.
Do you think the Brown's family lifestyle and the nature of their reality show had something to do with the filming objections being raised -- or do you think this would have happened regardless of the show being taped?
