“Sister Wives” returns Sunday night Dec. 29, 2013 with the second half of season 4. All is not copacetic with Cody Brown's four wives as they finally settle into the cul-de-sac of homes. In the premiere episode Cody and his wives face heartache and mother-in-laws.
Sunday night's new episode starts at 9 p.m. ET and it's titled "Mother-in-law Invasion." It is Mother's Day and Cody gets some company. According to TV Now on Dec. 26, "Sister Wives" have a mini-marathon going on in front of the season four mid-season premiere. Starting at 2 p.m. ET, TLC is airing the episodes of season 4 that have already aired for those of you who want to catch up with "Sister Wives."
Robyn, who is the newest wife, has been a type of competition for the other wives, but she doesn't seem to realize this. The other wives have been less content in this plural marriage since Robyn came on board. Cody is really into Robyn romantically and that sex appeal and chemistry is often demonstrated as the other sister wives seem to navigate around it for the sake of the greater good of their lives together.
It is not as if this is something Robyn nurtures in Cody, she seems to be just as much in love with the idea of having three sister wives as she is with having Cody for a husband. Cody tends to act like a love-sick teen around Robyn and now that they’ve been married for a few years, maybe this will subside.
The "Sister Wives" are human and it is hard to imagine that if a woman truly loves a man, she is not going to feel some sort of jealousy when he sleeps with another woman, never mind three other women. It is their "religious" belief that multiple wives is the way to go, but the human beings side of the sister wives have to have some sort of jealousy present at least once in a while. What do you think?
All the wives except for Robyn were on the hefty side, but that changes this season. One of the wives appears to have lost a ton of weight and looking extremely good and very sexy in the previews. How will Cody react to this on the new season? Will he start to worry about the discontentment among his brides, now that one is looking as if she's getting ready to fly the coup?
A couple of the “Sister Wives” are disenchanted with this lifestyle when the season opens. Marriages are strained and the “Sister Wives” admit they are not as close to the other wives as they’d like to be, suggests Newsday.
The man-child of the family, Cody, has shown some odd ways at fixing things in the past, as he doesn’t seem to understand what his “Sister Wives” need to keep them content in this lifestyle. Cody acts more like a teenager when it comes to his relationships with his wives. A couple of his wives take care of him as if he is one of their own kids.
Meri, who only has one daughter, is distraught to have her only child going off to college. This will leave this sister wife wandering around in her big house all by herself. A big party to celebrate Cody and his four wives commitments highlights the mid-season opener this week, but is Cody celebrating something that is falling apart behind the scenes?
