Sister of murder victim Monica Beresford Redman petitions LA court for property

Carla Burgos is the sister of Monica Beresford Redman, the wife of 'Survivor'  reality TV producer Bruce Beresford Redman, who was allegedly murdered by her husband has petitioned the Los Angeles courts requesting permission to purchase her dead sister's restaurant. The court documents requests that Burgos be allowed to purchase Monica Beresford Redmond's Brazilian restaurant for the price of $1.00. Burgos and her attorneys have claimed the restaurant is in "dire financial shape," according to Radaronline reports.

 

Cincinnati follower SB wrote"Murdered wife of Survivor producer wants to buy her dead sisters restaurant for a buck, I think it should just be given to her. Bruce Beresford Redman should be given the death penalty. I never understand why married couples kill their spouses if they are so unhappy divorce, the only reason that they kill is some sort of financial gain. So sad."

 

 

Monica Beresford Redman was murdered in Cancun in April of 2010, since the horrific family tragedy Carla and her other sister, Jeane Burgos have been working together non stop to handle the business affairs and renovations needed to manage Zabumba, the popular Brazilian restaurant located in LA. The Burgos' are now asking the judge to sign over the deed to Zabumba for a mere $1.00 stating that as is the restaurant as no monetary value and as been operating at a loss. Los Angeles judge Patricia Doyle is expected to make a decision on the fate of Zabumba at a hearing scheduled for June 13,2011.

 

As for the fate of accused murderer Bruce Beresford Redman, he is currently residing at the Twin Towers jail facility located in Los Angeles wile awaiting extradition proceedings and is scheduled to be returned to Cancun sometime in July.
