Sister Betty is Christian comedy at its best. It is one out of a series of books by Christian author Pat G'Orge Walker, who is also a comedienne. Set in the town of Pelzer, South Carolina at the "Ain't Nobody Saved But Us, All Others Goin' to Hell" church( pastored by Rev. Knott Enough Money and Bishop Was Nevercalled), Sister Betty hosts a complete cast of characters that will have its readers in stitches.
Each of these short stories are designed to use humor to teach Biblically based lessons about humility, charity, overcoming fear, materialism, etc. In the opening story, named after the title of the book, Sister Betty learns a lesson about how God expects Christ followers to view their fellow man and what it really means to serve God (Matthew 25:33-45). Whovever reads this book will recognize people they know, but its true intent is for people to see themselves (John 16:8). This book is meant to minister and it does just that. So if you see yourself, just repent and keep laughing.
