The David Bowie Channel, a limited-run 24/7 commercial-free music channel featuring the complete works of David Bowie, will launch on Sirius/XM satellite radio next week, the station announced Oct. 24.
The David Bowie Channel will launch at noon ET Oct. 30 and be available on channel 111. The station will also be available through the SiriusXM Internet Radio App for smartphones and mobile devices.
The channel will feature music from Bowie's entire career, including 2013's “The Next Day” and will premiere the five unheard songs from Bowie's “The Next Day Extra,” a three-disc collector's edition before their CD release on Nov. 5.
Listeners will hear rare tracks and demo versions of some of Bowie's best known songs as well as interpretations of Bowie's music by artists including Beck, Annie Lennox, Nirvana, Tears For Fears, Barbra Streisand, The Wallflowers, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, Scott Weiland and Dinosaur Jr.
The station will remain available through Nov. 12.
