Although she spends most of her time in Los Angeles, hearing Siri Lindley speak to the local audience is a rare opportunity.
Just in case you are wondering who Siri Lindley is, you may be thinking, "With a name like Siri Lindley, how could anybody not recognize who she is?" However, in the triathlon world, Siri makes marks of her own. Some may recognize Siri as the woman who commentates at various ITU races for Universal Sports and is interviewed pre-race at Ironman races.
You may have wondered how she "got the job", Siri Lindley won gold at the ITU World Championship in 2001, and the ITU Triathlon World Cup competitions, in 2001 and 2002. Then, she went on to coach in the sport, in 2003.
Triathletes from around the world seek out Ms. Lindley's expert coaching and mentorship. She has guided dozens of athletes to triathlon national and Olympic medals, world cup wins, international titles, and championship crowns. If that is not enough to build her credibility, some people may argue that her most notable and recognizable athlete at this time is Mirinda "Rinny" Carfrae, the reigning women's Ironman World Champ.
After her 2002 World Cup win, Siri felt like she had realized all of her dreams in her sport of choice. Thereafter, she has helped dozens of other triathletes chase, then catch their own dreams.
On Thursday, July 21st, 2011, at 7:00 pm, Angelenos have the opportunity to meet Siri Lindley and ask her questions of their own. She will be at Triathlon LAB-Santa Monica, a triathlon retail store, located at 3328 Pico Boulevard, in Santa Monica.
Bring friends, family, and kids to this event and hear how she is able to make seemingly impossible dreams (her own and her athletes') come true.
