Sir Thomas Malory

Le Morte d'Arthur

The credited author of Le Morte d'Arthur, which is one of the most recognizable and used forms of the Arthurian legend, Sir Thomas Malory has captured the imagination of centuries of readers.

Who was he though?

In searching for this answer, I have been met with a lot of pure speculations and contradictions. From answered such as "we do not have enough information to say for sure, but we think..." to a bio of him being in prison, to sources stating that he was a great knight to sources that state that he was basically a sell sword.

I am asking you, my readers, if you have any research material (i.e. a great book, a trustworthy source, ect) that you can share, I would be forever grateful, as what I have found thus far has lead me in circles of frustration.

Thank you.
