March's Supreme Pro Wrestling Show Sunday night featured the main event of Sir Samurai's 500th match. For the past few months the fans and the boys in the back have been speculating who would be in Samurai's opponent for March's main event. SPW Champion Bobby Hart has been demanding that he'd be number 500 and started the show in the ring telling the fans that someone is going to have to drag him out of the ring because he wasn't leaving. Drake Frost came out and ended Hart's in ring protest. The first match of the show was for the Xtreme title between champion Joe De Soul defending against Drake Frost. The stiff match ended when Hart came out and attacked both competitors. The match was ruled a no contest, De Soul retained his title.
The second match was between Kurai Hime against the baby face Savannah Riley. This was a rematch from last month. Riley put up a good fight but was ultimately defeated by Hime who got the "W" with a roll up pin (assisted by grabbing Riley's tights). Jeff Cobb battled Jekyll the Jester in the third match of the evening. The contest went back and forth with each man trying to get the competitive edge against one another. Jekyll managed to out wit the younger Cobb and pin him for the victory. A returning J.R. Kratos locked horns with "Microman" Christopher Grey in the fourth match. Mircoman managed to hang with Kratos for awhile by using his fast aerial moves and quick pacing. But the much larger and stronger Kratos was able to corral the fast moving Grey and pin him for the victory.
Rik Luxury came out with the Supreme Pro Wrestling Tag Team titles along with another tag partner (Corvus, one half of the Morlocks) and announced that he found a worthy partner to help him defend his belts. C.J. Kurz came out with his new tag team partner Gabriel Gallo and demanded a shot at the titles. Before their match began another set of challengers emerged from behind the curtains (D-Torch and Virgil Flynn) and requested a chance at the championship as well. SPW's newly appointed commissioner announced that this match will be a triple threat contest for the "vacated" SPW Tag Team Titles and the winner will be the new champions despite Rik Luxury's protest. The wild three way fight ended with a double pin by Luxury and Flynn. The match was ruled a no contest and the winning teams will face each other in April.
After intermission, El Flaco Loco came out to cut a promo about how his wife doesn't want him wrestling anymore so he'll stick to being a manager. His opponent for the April anniversary show Adam Thornstone came out and mocked his decision. Thornstone promised that he'll make Flaco Loco fight him before Hayashi came out to the ring and challenged Thornstone to a fight. El Flaco Loco accepted Hayashi's request to become his manager and with him in his corner, the match began. The contest started out evenly until Thornstone got the upper hand and viciously punished Hayashi until Flaco Loco couldn't take seeing his charge being brutalized so he threw in the towel. The seventh match of Sunday's card was a three way contest between Paul Isadora, Mustafa Saed and Dexter St. Jock. Dexter St. Jock won by count out when Isadora and Saed took their fight outside and brawled all over the arena.
The main event began with Sir Samurai being giving a standing ovation from the capacity crowd inside the SPW Arena. Streamers and confetti were tossed into the ring marking this special occasion. Samurai's challenger Timothy Thatcher quietly entered the ring allowing Samurai to bask in the spotlight. The match itself was a tit-for-tat ground game. An old school grappling contest that went back and forth for twenty minutes until Drake Frost came in bringing in a tray with some tea. While Thatcher and Samurai had a tea break, Frost took off his outfit and challenged both of them in the ring. The match became a three way contest for another ten minutes until Bobby Hart and a group of heels stormed the ring. This caused all the baby faces to come out of the locker room to protect Samurai, Thatcher and Frost. A wild melee ensued causing Samurai to make the announcement that not only will he be wrestling 500 more match but he'll take away Hart's SPW title next month at the Anniversary Show.
Next month's anniversary show will be held at the SPW Arena on April 21th. Tickets are only $10 for adults and $5 for children. For more details check out http://www.supremeprowrestling.com
