Sir Ben Kingsley offers catchy phrase in Super Bowl ad: ‘Good to be bad’

Actors Tom Hiddleston, Sir Ben Kingsley and Sir Mark Strong star in the Jaguar’s Super Bowl spot called Rendezvous and fans will immediately notice the Hollywood theme. The three popular British actors suggest that it might be better to be British for the bad-guy roles that are seen in the movies. Released before the big game day, the ad has everyone impressed with the combination of actors. According to the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday the commercial highlights the Jaguar F-Type Coupe, but fans really were impressed with the collection of villains.

Most viewers would agree that Sir Ben Kingsley wouldn't put himself in any commercial, let alone a Super Bowl commercial that he didn't find acceptable. The star has an impressive resume and his craft reveals some of his best work in Hollywood. To see him in the Jaguar commercial provides instant credibility to the viewers.

As for the parts performed by all three stars for the ad, it’s absolutely genius. Of course the marketing guys had to have admired the roles played by the stars and add a bit of similarities so fans could immediately relate. Some Super Bowl commercials are sexy and others are silly. However this Super Bowl ad has an interesting homage to Hollywood that wouldn't have been expected.

Take a look at the video clip of Jaguar’s new commercial with all the British bad guys. The catch phrase of “Good to be bad” seems so appropriate!
