Sips and Suppers is one of DC’s most exciting culinary events, and luckily there are still some tickets available! Hosted by Jose Andres, Joan Nathan, and Alice Waters, Sips and Suppers 2014 is bound to be a resounding success. The event takes places over the course of two days, the first being Sips and the second being Supper. Both parts of the event support the work of DC Central Kitchen and Martha’s Table, two organizations which aim to end hunger and homelessness through local and sustainable solutions.
Sips, scheduled for Saturday January 22, will feature food and drinks prepared by DC’s best chefs and mixologists at the Newseum. Speakers, celebrity chefs, and a live jazz band will all be in abundance. Regular tickets are $95, which includes unlimited food and drinks, while $200 VIP tickets get you into a pre-party before the event starts.
Suppers, on Sunday January 26th, consists of 29 dinners hosted by DC’s finest culinary champions and served in private homes throughout the city. Participating chefs include Erik Burner-Yang from Toki Underground, Scott Drewno from The Source, Spike Mendelhsohn from Good Stuff Eatery, Bearnaise, and We, The Pizza, and Haidar Karoum from Proof and Estadio, as well as many others. Each dinner will have around 20 guests, and the food will be prepared by a team of two celebrity chefs.
