It's been hot across Siouxland the last several days and the heat is expected to remain with us through the weekend. High temperatures topped out in the low 90s with heat indexes in the mid to upper 100s yesterday. It will once again be hot and humid today with temperatures topping out in the mid 90s with heat indexes in the lower 100s. The National Weather Service has extended the heat advisory through 7 PM tonight.
Today: Mostly Sunny, hot and humid. High temperature 95F with a heat index of 103F. Southeast wind 5-10 MPH.
Tonight: Clear. Low temperature around 70F. South wind around 5 MPH.
Thursday: Hot and humid. High 94F with a heat index 97F.
Extended forecast: Hot and humid conditions will continue with high temperatures in the mid 90s through Saturday. Temperatures cool into the upper 80s Sunday through Tuesday. A shower or two may move through the area on Sunday.
