Sioux City, Iowa weather forecast for January 17, 2013

We enjoyed a beautiful day across Siouxland today. We officially topped out at 50 degrees at the Sioux City airport. A backdoor cold front has moved through and the north wind will help keep temperatures in the middle 30s for Thursday. The front will then move northward as a warm front Thursday afternoon and will allow temperatures warm into the upper 40s on Friday. A strong cold front will blast through the area on Saturday and high pressure will keep temperatures below normal through next week.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy. High temperature around 38. North wind becoming SW in the afternoon 5-10 mph.

Saturday: Sunny and windy. High temperature around 36. Northwest wind 20-25 mph.

Sunday: Cloudy and cold. High temperature near 17. South wind 5-10 mph.

Monday: Mostly sunny and cold. High temperature near 8. North northwest wind 5-10 mph.
