Sinkholes and sequestration…could a seemingly natural event be politically motivated? Who can we blame?!?
According to an article in the BBC, a sinkhole swallowed up a Florida man early this morning.
This seemingly unrelated event coincides with the first official day of sequestration, or the last possible day to avoid sequestration budget cuts - that will either cripple or benefit our country (depending on who one listens to for news).
Is this just the beginning of what could be called "sudden sequestration episodes"?
Republicans would probably claim that this man was a hard working taxpayer who deserved to "hang on to what was his" (so sorry for the pun…I couldn't help myself).
Democrats would probably say this man was sequestered tragically and unnecessarily at the hands of the Republican congress failing to compromise thereby removing the safety net that could have saved the unfortunate Florida man.
Nancy Pelosi hasn't blinked since the event occurred.
Meanwhile…the cause of these naturally occurring geologic events can be explained by the U.S. Geological Survey in this article.
