Internet sleuth Superannuation pulled out a new scoop Tuesday with the discovery of a domain that ties together a game titled "Singularity" with the Playstation 4. The singularitysp4.com domain was registered by Quantic Dream who is known for "Heavy Rain" and the upcoming "Beyond: Two Souls" for the PS3.
As Superannuation notes, Quantic Dreams released a tech demo called "Kara" at GDC last March that showed a female android being assembled and then disassembled once she becomes self-aware. This ties in nicely with the Ray Kurzweil novel, "The Singularity is Near".
The demo also showed off some of the new engine and performance capture tech that was Cage working on at the time. It's entirely possible that the creator was inspired by the work to do more after it received positive press.
It is interesting to note that "PS4" was attached to the end of the domain registration as Sony typically like to tie in the console name to the game for exclusive titles, including heavyrainps3.com and beyondps3.com. It is unknown if "Singularity" will remain the complete name of the but it seems likely that it is only one part.
