Those looking for an alternative to the bar scene should check out High Museum Atlanta's monthly Single Mingle. The evening started out with drinks at the lounge of Table 1280, then moved across the piazza to the museum itself.

The long lines didn't deter anyone that was there for Single Mingle or Friday Jazz which happened to be in conjunction with the event this time around and featured celebrated trombonist Emmett C. Goods.

Couples and groups of friends grabbed $5 beers and wines, enjoyed the Jazz in the Robinson Atrium and mingled among the art. Those in attendance were able to catch the "Monet Water Lillies" and the "Misrach: On the Beach" exhibitions just before they closed on Sunday, August 23.
