Single in L.A. for Valentine's Day? Here's what to do.

To be honest, I think Valentine's Day should be a celebration for singles instead of a couples-focused holiday, especially here in Los Angeles. After all, it's the perfect time to meet real single men and women. (No married guys hitting on you, ladies!) Plus, there are lots of parties and discounts going on around town to celebrate your singlehood, so take advantage. Here are some options for you (thanks to LAist and Where Magazine):

Tinder + Skybar. If you're looking to round up your friends to party Hollywood style, check out the Skybar at the Mondrian L.A. Hotel on Sunset. They ask that you wear a "touch of red" and bring your phone so you can use your Tinder app to gain admittance. Yep, everyone will be on Tinder - have fun!

Rock & Reilly's for your break-up party. Trying to get over your ex? Then bring a picture of him/ her with you to Rock & Reilly's on Sunset February 14th. All you have to do is shred it to get a free dessert!

Sexting at The Abbey. Leave it to The Abbey to have a creative (and more public) V-Day party. If you spot somebody who piques your interest, you can send them a personalized love note that will show up on the bar's big screen for everyone to see. Bring it on!

Free Beer at Bludso's Bar & 'Que. Bludso's normally take reservations for parties of 8, but on Valentine's Day, where let's face it, barbeque is not exactly on a couple's top ten list, they are accepting parties of 1 or more. But if you bring three of your friends along, you get a free pitcher of beer. Happy Valentine's Day!

Plan Check Kitchen & Bar all-day happy hour. Two-for-$14 cocktails and an all-day happy hour (11:30 a.m.– 2 a.m.) - need I say more? The featured cocktail is the Ice Breaker, comprised of Japanese whisky, Batavia Arrak, lime juice, Monin agave syrup, passionfruit, ghost pepper salt, aloe vera chunks, and El Jimador. Yum.

Get a hot man to drive you around town. Sidecar, a new driving service in L.A., is offering 30 hot, single dudes to drive you ladies around town. By using the SCSINGLESDRINKUP code, you'll get a $15 credit to use on their first ride to The Spare Room at The Roosevelt Hotel, where there are discounted Valentine's Day drinks for singles.

Happy Valentine's Day!
