Individual tickets begin at $15 and are available at www.bluehens.com or by phone at (302) 831-2257. They are also available at the Bob Carpenter Center box office Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Season tickets can also be purchased.
The schedule includes Delaware Day on Sept. 6, when UD will open its home schedule against downstate rival Delaware State for a 6 p.m. kickoff. The university once again will reach out to state employees to invite them to be part of a day celebrating the First State. Online registration is currently open for the annual Youth Cheer Day, which is also set for this game.
Band Day is scheduled for Sept. 13, when Colgate visits Newark. In addition, that day will feature a special tailgate for family and friends of incoming freshmen.
Local youth football teams will be invited to participate in the Youth Football Experience during the pregame of the Oct. 4 contest vs. Sacred Heart. Parents & Family Weekend is scheduled for Oct. 11, when Elon comes to town, and homecoming will take place against Towson on Oct. 18.
The other home games are against Rhode Island on Nov. 1 and rival Villanova on Nov. 22.
Home games at Delaware Stadium include the pregame march by the team, led by the band and spirit groups, two and a half hours before kickoff.
The Blue Hens are coming off a 7-5 season, the first under coach Dave Brock. They return 13 starters, including six each on offense and defense. Senior Trent Hurley enters as the starting quarterback. He passed for 2,207 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2013 while leading the Colonial Athletic Association in passer rating.
