Singer Vesta Williams found dead in LA hotel room

Sadly, singer Vesta Williams was discovered dead in LA. Her body was discovered in a hotel room in Tinseltown, this discovery being a big shock to her fans and friends.

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph shared her thoughts on Twitter, saying, “I am so deeply saddend at the passing of my diva friend Vesta Williams. RIP Vesta.”

Jackee Harry tweeted, "...just received truly devastating news: R&B great, and my friend of many yrs, Vesta Williams (), has passed away. "

Meanwhile fellow singer Shanice Wilson also used the social networking site to share her loss,: “My friend Vesta died…I can’t believe this…RIP."

The 48-year old R&B singer was known for her classic Congratulations, as well as Sweet Sweet Love and 4U. Cause of death is unknown.

RIP, Vesta Williams, RIP.
