LONG BEACH, Calif.—Nathaniel Hale, known by his stage name Nate Dogg, died Tuesday at 41-years-old.
The Long Beach-native suffered strokes in 2007 and 2008.
A talented singer and rapper, Hale got his break after being featured on Dr. Dre’s masterpiece “The Chronic,” in 1992.
Two years later, his track with Warren G “Regulate,” hit number two on the Billboard charts.
He recorded three solo albums and frequently collaborated with other artists.
He also made a brief appearance at the "Breaking Out of Alcatraz Concert" in 1998.
