Singer Adele Adkins put her impressive pregnancy weight loss on display at the 2013 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles Feb. 11.
Adele, who donned a floral-printed Valentino dress, has regained her pre-pregnancy body just four months after giving birth to a baby boy in October 2012. The British singer's slim-down is especially noteworthy since she has long stated that she's perfectly happy being a size 14.
"I've always been a size 14-16 and been fine with it," Adkins, 24, said in the book Adele: The Biography. "I would only lose weight if it affected my health or sex life, which it doesn't.
The full-figured 5'9" Adele added that has no interest in capitalizing on her sex appeal like fellow pop stars Lady Gaga or Katy Perry.
"I don't want to be some Skinny Minnie with my t*ts out," she said. "I don't want people confusing what it is that I am about. I'm not shocking. I just stand there and sing, and I don't do stunts or anything. I'm just writing love songs. I'm not trying to be pop. I'm not trying to be jazz. I'm not trying to be anything. I'm just writing love songs, and everyone loves a love song."
Besides, Adele said she could easily lose weight if that were a priority. "If I was affected by my weight, I could easily lose some now," she said.
"I've got enough money for a personal trainer or nutritionist [but] I'm not going to stop eating the food I like just because I can't be bothered to exercise ... My life is full of drama and I won't have time to worry about something as petty as what I look like."
