Sinead O’Connor shifted her focus away from Miley Cyrus for a moment Friday night while appearing on "The Late Late Show", blasting music producer Simon Cowell, saying, "...he's contributed to the murder of music". Sinead was discussing the state of fame and idol worship in the reality TV show era, that's producing a lot what we hear in music today. O'Connor called out Irish entertainment manager Louis Walsh along with Simon Cowell, saying it's unfair that they get to decide who gets to be famous, according to Radar Online on Oct. 4.

On the late night chat show, Sinead O'Connor expressed her concern at what she labels the death of music and rock and roll, specifically placing blame on Simon Cowell, and Louis Walsh.

Sinead said Walsh is so inept that the last she knew, he didn't even know how to burn a CD, and this is someone who gets to decide who makes popular music today.

O'Connor said music is being murdered, moreover rock and roll is being murdered. She added that the power of rock and roll to change things and move people, is being murdered by all of the current reality show worship.

Sinead O'Connor, 46, made headlines earlier this week when she penned an open letter to 20-year-old Miley Cyrus, chastising her for exploiting herself and setting a bad example for young girls.

Cyrus blasted back and as the Twitter war heated up, Miley took at shot at O'Connor's state of mental health by comparing her to Amanda Bynes. Sinead basically called her a prostitute for pimping her body out for the music business.

When the subject came up Friday night, Sinead said, "I’m saying that why I got involved in the issue of whether or not it’s appropriate for 20-year-old women to be asked to lick sledgehammers in videos for songs that have no lyrical reference to any such thing in them, is I would say is an exploitation of somebody who’s possibly a little too young to understand the dangers of allowing oneself to be exploited in that way".
