“Sin City” is a trending topic this morning with casting news and details of the upcoming sequel being revealed. Besides confirmation of Bruce Willis’ return, on Monday, Jan. 21, director Robert Rodriguez also spoke to MTV about Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character.
“It’s a new character,” the co-director says. “He plays a gambler, a very cocky gambler, who comes in and tries to beat the biggest villain in Sin City at his own game. The story’s called ‘The Long, Bad Night.’ He beats the wrong guy in a game and bad stuff happens to him.” Wow, it doesn’t look good for JGL’s character.
From production’s official synopsis: “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” follows Dwight, a man who is being hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord. The story takes place in prior to “The Big Fat Kill” and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.
Joining the crew are also, Jamie Chung, Juno Temple, and Josh Brolin. Set to return are, Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaimie King.
“Sin City: A Dame to Kill For” is schedule to hit theaters October 4.
