Sin City 3D premiere celebration tonight to feature live music, special guests

Robert Rodriguez, the film director who spends a fair amount of time in Austin will attend the official Texas premiere of his film, Sin City: A Dame to Kill for (3D) tonight at the Paramount Theater at 7 p.m.. Rodriguez will introduce the film, answer questions from the audience after the screening and attend the official after party at the Rattle Inn. Sin City creator and Co-director, Frank Black will also attend the screening. The event is produced by the Austin Film Society and the Weinstein Film Company.

Film fans will have an opportunity to see stars and guests entering the premiere on the red carpet. Ticket holders will get to participate in the question and answer session hosted by Rodriguez.

Rodriguez has invited musical guests, Chignon to perform. The band features brothers, Rick and Mark of local Latin act, Del Castillo. Past guests of the band include Rodriguez's sister, Patricia Vonne, Salma Hayak and Tito Larriva. Rumor has it a special guest musician will be performing for VIP ticket holders at the Rattle Inn. Austin Film Society members can take avantage of limited discounted ticket prices on the group's website.

A surprise musical guest will appear at the Paramount and performance following the screening. Hint: The guest have performed in Austin before at the Frank Erwin Center. Readers may have deducted the guest is Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. A classic rock singer known for wild stage antics plus Chignon and Rodriguez could equal an wild show.
