The best thing about simulation games is customization, and EA's "Sims" franchise has always been really good about providing gamers with plenty of things to customize their Sim-worlds with.
This year, the Sims 3 has a whole new lineup of expansions planned, as announced today:
The Sims 3 University Life
Planned for release in March, University Life looks to be an expounded upon version of the Sims 2 University expansion. Make your Sims smarter by sending them to school, and let them have the time of their lives in different social situations.
The Sims 3 Island Paradise
Just in time for summer vacation, Island Paradise is planned to release in June. Send your Sims on a tropical getaway, away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life.
And, an unnamed expansion planned later for this year, that focuses on sending your Sims into the future.
Also, later this month on January 22, you can get a hold of the "70s, 80s, and 90s Stuff Pack", where you can toss your Sims into a retro look and feel. During the Fall of 2013, another stuff pack will be available that celebrates different iconic movies.
