The Simpsons Scavenger Hunt starts November 9th.
Originally airing as a filler for the Tracy Ullman show in 1987, it wasn't until December 21st, 1989 that America saw the rise of a comedic animated family known as The Simpsons. Twenty years later, the show has skyrocketed past shows Like Mash, Cheers, and Ozzie and Harriet to become the longest running sitcom in television history.
Fox has declared a year long global celebration of the show's twentieth year mark, scheduled to conclude on January 14th, 2010 with a Morgan Spurlock documentary titled "The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice". Next week marks the next celebratory phase, with the introduction of a Simpsons scavenger hunt.
Viewers can spot clues relative to The Simpsons in all their favorite Fox shows from Monday November 9th through Sunday November 15. Fox has hidden several Simpsons easter eggs such as shout-outs, tributes, and references across shows like House, Bones, Fringe, Lie to Me, So You Think You Can Dance, 'Til Death, Dollhouse, and Brothers. Viewers can then enter the clues on Fox.com for a chance to win prizes.
Fox promises the clues won't be too obvious, so keep your big round white eyes peeled.
