Simply Grace

Grace is something we all tend to take for granted. The dictionary defines grace as a manifestation of favor or forgiveness. What bigger manifestation could there ever possibly be than God dying on the cross for us? We all deserve death for our sins; but, we are God's children, our Father who wishes to pour love and mercy and forgiveness into our hearts. We have been redeemed. Romans 3:23-24 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
-Ephesians 2:8-10

Think about the consequences if we weren't granted God's grace. Think about the death that we truly deserve, if not for His love. He covered each of our sins with His blood; He took the blame for all of our transgressions. Then He offered us the best gift ever imaginable. The best part...it's free. No strings attached, no fine print. It is simply by His grace that we are saved, if we'd only accept it.

"But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved." -Ephesians 2:4-5
