Stress affects everyone, directly or indirectly. Coping with everyday issues becomes overwhelming. There's pressure to achieve at every turn. Mastering a few tips can help to cope with all of this craziness. Here’s a few tips that have helped me get through the stressful times in life.

Write everything down. The brain is capable of some multitasking but overloading the brain can cause stress and anxiety. Keep it on paper, out of head.

Get rid of clutter. Cope with messes on a daily basis. Accumulated mess causes accumulated stress.

Keep your personal life simple and stress free. Avoid overcomplicated schedules at home. Home should be a place to relax and get away from the stress of the workday.

Cope with large tasks by breaking them down into smaller steps. Take time to breathe between steps. Assign some portions of projects to others. Don't overload yourself or them.

Stop thinking you have to be perfect at everything. It's OK to be human. You will make mistakes occasionally. Don't stress about it. Just fix it.

Having a sense of humor will help to cope with stress of all kinds. Be able to laugh at difficulties and put things in perspective.

Give yourself a time out. Soak in a hot tub, go for a walk in the rain, have a nice cup of tea. It's OK to relax for a few minutes and let the stress of the world melt away.

Stay away from negative people. They will only add to the anxiety. Make friends with people who seem content with their lives. Learn to cope from happy people.

Look at each problem as an opportunity to learn, rather than a hindrance to your day. Struggle is one of the ways we grow good character.

Make your own expectations clear. Be sure to know the expectations of others. This eliminates a lot of misunderstandings.

Cope with difficult people by getting to know them better. There's less likely to be stress between two individuals who have shared happy moments together.

Feel good about yourself. Wear something attractive. Concentrate on positive attributes and work on the negative ones.

Remember that stress is all in your head. Cope with it by realizing that and reacting accordingly. Don't let it overtake life.

Reduce the stress of others by showing confidence in them. Let good workers know they are appreciated. Take time to consider the feelings of others and they will return the favor.
