If you don't want to hear that coming from your kids' mouth, your husband's, your significant other's, or even your own, then you've come to the right recipe. Though this dish is simple, I guarantee that it is packed with flavor. Some of the best salmon recipes showcase the natural flavor of this incredibly versatile and healthy fish by its simplicity.


  • 12 ounce salmon fillet, cut into 4 pieces
  • Course-grained salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Balsamic vinaigrette.
  • Backed squash, optional

Preheat your oven to 450 degrees, and season your salmon with salt and pepper. Place the salmon, skin side down, on a non-stick baking sheet or pan (spray with non-stick spray if you do not have a non-stick tray or pan).

Bake until the salmon is cooked through, which will total 12-15 minutes. Drizzle a little balsamic vinaigrette on top.

Serve with squash if desired. A personal recommendation is to bake the squash and use a fork to shred the insides, creating what is called "spaghetti squash". Top with salt and pepper, and you have a deliciously simple meal.
