The bottom line is if you live centered around your values, and not by the demands of your ego, you’re on the right track for fulfillment and happiness.
When you are true to yourself different parts of your life—career, relationships, goals---are in sync with what is truly most important to you. People who pursue the practice of living within their values experience greater inner peace and less conflict.
I usually start interested Life Coach clients with a simple exercise to help them determine their core values. Begin with this simple quiz. Just circle ten values from the list below that most apply to you (Note: this is a condensed, but effective list).

It is vital to understand the different between your values from those things you think are needs and wants.
Needs are essential items required for life.
Wants may not be necessary, but you desire them for other reasons like enhancing your quality of living.
By living a life in sync with your values, your actions and thoughts support a life of more fulfilling and joyful experiences.
