Designer Bill Gaytten is apparently still continuing to design for the eponymous John Galliano collection and earlier today, March 3, 2013, he presented the John Galliano Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Ready-to-Wear collection in a fashion show at Le Centorial in Paris, France as part of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2013.
Gaytten does the John Galliano Fall 2013 collection justice this season, featuring long, lean woolen coats with fitted cropped trousers, peplum topped skirt suits and elegant, simple evening gowns, all rendered in a color palette to include cobalt blue, navy, black, white, shades of grey and several tie-dye style prints in combinations such as black, grey, white and perhaps magenta.
Worthy of mention in this autumnal 2013 John Galliano collection are the ombré tinted cobalt blue and red skirt suit with the hip-length jacket and the knee-length coat, paired with fitted cropped pants, which can without doubt be worn as separates and outerwear.
Among their outerwear, the grey knit shrug is interesting, as it tops a crushed velvet black skirt and grey knit top.
Smart peplum jackets top gauchos (featured throughout!), such as the gunmetal grey number with mandarin collar and the long black peplum coat – both with black leather detail at the waist.
Outfits are accessorized with military style caps and black leather ankle booties and matching leather gloves.
For eveningwear, John Galliano has a slimming navy blue long-sleeved knee-length cocktail dress, a sleek silky floor-length shift, which is quite minimalist and the transparent pleated black and red chiffon skirt, which is teamed with a black bodysuit and topped off with a black coat.
This is an elegant, slightly futuristic collection form Gaytten for John Galliano Fall/Winter 2013/2014 that is very mix-and-matchable and one that caters to different tastes.
