Simple and stylish Valentine’s Day decorating (Video)

Decorating for Valentine’s Day can be tough. Many decorations can seem cartoonish or unsophisticated, which may mean that they won’t match the rest of your house. If you still want to decorate for Valentine’s Day but don’t want to go all out with conversation heart window clings or stuffed bears, there are still options.

Pillows are a great way to add a little Valentine’s Day romance to your home. A simple pillow that says love, features cupid, or a cute bow and arrow pattern is an easy way to add Valentine’s Day in a subtle way.

If you want a little more decoration, but still subtle, decorate indoors and out so you have more Valentine’s Day items, but not all in one place or in an overwhelming way. Swap out your Christmas wreath for a pink cherry blossom wreath on your front door. The wreath doesn’t scream Valentine’s Day but the pink will get you in the spirit. Another way to add Valentine’s Day outdoors is through a yard flag or a cute doormat.

Serveware and accent pieces are a great way to incorporate Valentine’s Day décor inside. Small accents around the house will do the trick. Try: heart coasters, dish towels, love bird candles, or heart bottle stoppers. Put love in the air through your Valentine’s Day decorations!
