Simone Elkeles wins RITA Award

Chicago-area author Simone Elkeles won a RITA Award last night at the Romance Writers of America 20th annual conference, held this year in Orlando, Florida.  The RITA Award is the most prominent honor in the genre of romance fiction.

Elkeles' Facebook page reports that the young adult romance author won for her fourth novel, Perfect Chemistry.

Perfect Chemistry chronicles a Romeo and Juliet-style relationship between two suburban Chicago teenagers.  Its sequel, Rules of Attraction, made the New York Times bestseller list in April.
