The new outlet mall will be 410,000 square feet and will be off exit 10 on the Everett Turnpike. The groundbreaking for the project was in September 2010, and completion of the outlet mall is currently on track for the opening date.
The new stores will include: Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, Calvin Klein, Chico's, Coach, Cole Haan, Converse, Elie Tahari, Guess, J. Crew, Loft Outlet, Lucky Brand, Michael Kors, Nike, Puma, Timberland and Tommy Hilfiger. There will also be two larger outlet stores for Bloomingdale's The Outlet Store and Saks Fifth Avenue Off 5th. There will also be a food court and courtyard at the mall.
Outlet malls in New Hampshire have proven successful with locals, but more with tourists who shop at the stores for discounted items while enjoying not having to pay sales tax in the Granite State.
The new outlet mall will be the third in New Hampshire according to MallSeeker.com, and according to Simon/Premium Outlets will bring 800 new jobs to the area.
