Simon Monjack was married to the late actress, Brittany Murphy. Brittany Murphy died Sunday of cardiac arrest, after being found unconscious in the shower. Emergency officials came and were unable to revive her, she was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Simon Monjack and Brittany Murphy met on the set of a movie, The White Hotel in which he was the director, and Brittany starred. The movie was never completed.
The couple was married in May 2007 in a private Jewish ceremony. Many fans were surprised because they had only made a few appearances together, and they didn’t announce their engagement.
Monjack, 39, is British, and wrote and produced Factory Girl, and directed Two Days, Nine Lives.
In November of 2009, Monjack had what Brittany called asthma attack on a flight, when a flight attendant thought he was incoherent. Brittany told officials that she thought he was ok, but they took him to a nearby hospital.
