Simon Fashion Now on Facebook
For those local fashionistas who want to be up to date on all the upcoming fall trends, listen up!
Simon Fashion Now presented by Cadillac will be hosting a series of fashion events in conjunction with local retailers at the Houston Galleria next weekend. In the press release, Simon Fashion Now promises to deliver various styles at equally various price levels.
Events for the general public begin on Friday, September 18th at 5:30 p.m. The “Trends and Friends” event will begin at the Galleria II on the street level in front of Ann Taylor. This event will feature music, cocktails and tasty treats. Try to get there early for the chance to enter a raffle to benefit the Simon Youth Foundation and to get a good seat for the French Connection runway show at 6 p.m. Then stay for the next runway show at 7 p.m. featuring looks by Nordstrom, Betsy Johnson, Ed Hardy, Marciano, Metropark, Miss Sixty and Lucky Brand.
Plan to camp out at the Galleria on Saturday, September 19th, because there will be fashion activities galore all afternoon.
If you love Project Runway, (Who doesn’t? Tim Gunn + Nina Garcia + Michael Kors + the ever pregnant Heidi Klum= fashion genius.), you won’t want to miss the Project Runway-like competition “Style Wars” beginning at noon showcasing three Art Institute of Houston student teams’ fashion skills put to the ultimate test.
Beginning at 2 p.m., runway shows will begin at the same location as the Friday events. The first fashion show will feature looks by Adidas, Bebe, Charlotte Russe, GapBody, GUESS, Hot Topic, Puma and Steve Madden.
The next runway show presented by Macy’s spotlighting DKNY and Liz Claiborne brands will begin at 3 pm.
Caché, Bag’n Baggage, Gap, Intimacy, New York & Company, The Limited and White House | Black Market will showcase their looks at the next runway show at 4 p.m.
The final runway show at 5 p.m. will feature looks by Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers Women, Cole Haan, Club Monaco, Forever Silver and Wolford Boutique.
So Houstonians if you want to stay hip and chic for fall, do not miss these free fashion shows next weekend. Unlike New York Fashion Week, after the shows you can even buy your must have pieces that day! Joy!
