Simon Cowell asked fans on Wednesday if he should sign Fifth Harmony to his record label. The simple question posed online got a flurry of responses from the fans of the group, called “harmonisers” as there is a desire to hear music from the group even after X Factor. The five-member girl group obviously has diehard fans who want to hear more because Simon was convinced to sign the act. On Thursday Simon Cowell announced a contract was finalized.
“To all the harmonisers. Thank you for all the support. Happy to confirm we have signed fifth harmony,” tweeted Simon Cowell from his official Twitter account on Thursday. His simple note implies the group officially has a record label deal.
The majority of the top 10 acts from the season of X Factor are signed. While Tate Stevens is looking to step out first with an album, the other acts most likely will shortly follow as the season produced some new vocal talent that excited different fan bases.
With Fifth Harmony now signed, when can the fans expect to hear new music? Well, it might be later in the summer, but everyone hopes it is before the next season of X Factor.
