The X factor is over and country singer, Tate Stevens has one the 5 million dollar prize. Life goes on and so does Simon Cowell. Today, according to Mix965 Simon Cowell is dating Carmen Electra the former playboy model. Simon Cowell confirmed they are dating but they are not exclusive so it seems. Simon revealed his dating Carmen Electra on a radio show hosted by Ryan Seacrest. Simon said, he finds her adorable but she is not his girlfriend.
Apparently, she thinks he is cute and adorable as well. There has been no mention of anything serious between them. According to Carmen Electra, Simon is fun to be around. What a change from the somewhat grumpy former American Idol judge and the matter-of-fact X factor judge.
Will this blossom into something serious or is Carmen Electra just eye candy? Simon has dated before and has split up with his girlfriends before as well. However, according to Daily Mirror, Carmen is 40-years-old and yearning to have a baby. She says it is the only thing she hasn’t done yet. On the other hand, the Daily Mirror reports that at 52, Simon feels he may be too old to start raising a baby.
Dating and marriage history of the Simon and Electra
“Carmen married US basketball star Dennis Rodman in November 1998 before divorcing a year later. In 2003, she wed Dave Navarro, lead guitarist for the rock band Jane’s Addiction. They divorced four years later. Simon, who has remained pals with all his old flames, was previously linked with True Blood actress Janina Gavankar, 32. He split from ex-fiancée Mezhgan Hussainy in February.”
The track record for either Cowell or Electra is not that stable in terms of relationships. It takes a stable home to raise a baby. Celebrity marriages are volatile. They often don’t last that long. For example, everyone knows Kim Kardashian’s marriage only lasted 72 hours.
Does having children make the marriage last longer?
According to Mail Online Cher Thornhill wrote, “One in ten married couples are staying together ‘just for the kids’ - and plan to split when the children are old enough, a study revealed today. Financial, emotional and physical pressures of modern life, which place a huge strain on relationships, are believed to be behind the worryingly high figure. The shocking statistic emerged in a report which also found millions of parents will now resume battle after six weeks of playing happy families during the summer ceasefire.”
When you look at the statistics for marriages breaking up and you look at Simon saying he is just dating. Does it make you wonder where Electra’ is going with relationship? Does she truly want a baby? More importantly, will Simon be the father of that baby?
