An app that will enhance your golfing experience.

I'm talking about the Greater Palm Springs area and specifically about SilverRock Resort and their SilverRock Resort app by Best Approach.

The app has it all and it's put together in an easy to use way.

For the information it provides, it isn't complicated.

You can book tee times so you can "challenge the rock." The app also allows you to contact the course via email or phone to ask any questions you may have.

Where the app really shines is a colorful guide to each hole and an in-app GPS that lets you know how far you are to the hole from anywhere on the course. This comes in handy after overseeding when carts are "cart path only."

SilverRock is owned by the City of La Quinta and Managed by Landmark Golf Management. The Arnold Palmer Classic Course was a former home course of the Bob Hope Classic. It is a daunting 7,578 yards, spread out over 200 acres with massive native bunkers and eye-catching water features right up against the backdrop and natural beauty of the Santa Rosa Mountains that come right on to the course.

A new refresh of the app even gives you current weather information.

The Greater Palm Springs area is easily accessible by plane or by car with it being close to a two-hour drive east of L.A. on Interstate 10. Perfect for vacation or your next business retreat, you can do it all in Palm Springs. Great golf at courses like SilverRock, beautiful resorts, a variety of restaurants, history, culture, the desert terrain, outdoor activities, shopping, and a lot more.

Download the SilverRock app as you prepare for your Palm Springs/Indian Wells/La Quinta adventure.
