A new partnership level will kick in this year at The Marshes Golf Club.
“The Marshes VIP Silver Partnership provides unlimited access to The Marshes course and practice facility with a power cart for golfers Monday to Friday (excluding peak time periods), Saturdays, Sundays and holidays,” said Andrew Donaldson, the premium golf facility’s director of golf. “The price is competitive at $2,595 (plus HST) and weekend up-grade access for VIP Silver Partners can be purchased at $80 for peak hours and $70 for off-peak times.”
The new Silver Partners in 2013 will also be able to use seven-day advance booking privileges and an online Golf Canada handicap membership.
Robert Trent Jones Sr. and his son designed the Marshes Golf Club. The par-72 track measures 7,027 yards from the back tees and 5,274 yards from the fronts.
Golfers hit toward and over flawless fairways, a couple of double-fairways, mounds, marshy areas, lakes, ponds, fescue and greens with undulations that keep a player’s mind in their game.
Owned by hi-tech magnate Terry Matthews, The Marshes features ample landings areas that receive tee-shots struck from four sets of tee markers and the putting surfaces are large enough that golfers don’t feel squeezed while standing over approach shots.
Players in need of expert instruction to tighten up their games or those folks beginning to golf are invited to contact the PGA of Canada professionals at The Marshes Golf Academy.
The academy makes use of the latest training technologies and techniques at a state-of-the-art 12-acre area. It includes a putting green, practice bunker and a 350-yard range complete with five target greens.
