“Silver Linings Playbook” recently nabbed 8 Oscar nominations including one for ‘best picture’ of the year 2012. Jennifer Lawrence appears in the film portraying a young woman named ‘Tiffany.’ She was recently voted ‘best actress’ at the ‘Screen Actors Guild’ awards on Jan. 27. According to the official website of ‘Box Office Mojo’ that tracks movie receipts. As of Feb. 3, 2013 - "Playbook" has snatched up $80,378,000 in U. S. theaters. It has earned $19,754,316 in foreign markets. The Weinstein Company is paying for a free screening (Feb. 4) of the film. They have invited Screen Actors Guild (SAG) & American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (AFTRA) members. That includes Native Americans.
The invitation says, “You and a guest are cordially invited to attend a special screening opportunity of ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ on Monday Feb. 4, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. The location will be at the ‘Directors Guild of America’ (Theater 1) / 7920 W. Sunset Blvd. / Los Angeles, CA 90046.”
The screening will be followed by a conversation with Bradley Cooper who portrays ‘Pat’ & Jacki Weaver who portrays ‘Dolores’ in the film. Also on hand will be the filmmakers of the movie - writer & director, David O. Russell - producer, Donna Gigliotti - editors, Jonathon Gordon, Jay Cassidy & Crispin Struthers.”
