According to a Jan. 1 report from Yahoo! Sports, UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva will fight at 185 pounds three more times before fighting Georges St-Pierre at a catch-weight.
“There's probably three fights out there for him at 85, then Georges (St-Pierre) will have a few more fights under his belt cause the guy's been out such a long time. Cause before he blew his knee out, he was ready to roll,” UFC President Dana White revealed when speaking about the potential Silva vs. St-Pierre superfight.
White also said that Michael Bisping will get the next crack at Silva, as long as the Brit can take down Vitor Belfort at UFC on FX 7.
“If Bisping wins, he'll get the shot,” said White following UFC 155.
After Bisping, it gets dicey. Silva could fight up-and-coming middleweight Chris Weidman, Hector Lombard or a wild-card like Vitor Belfort.
Silva recently signed a new ten-fight contract to continue fighting in the UFC ranks. The deal will likely keep him fighting well into his early-40s.
“Ten," UFC President Dana White said of Silva's new deal. "He signed a 10-fight deal. I don’t think we’ve ever done a 10-fight deal. Maybe we did one with Forrest once, I don’t remember, but Anderson said, ‘I want a 10-fight deal, not an eight-fight deal.’ I’ll give him a 100-fight deal if he wants one,” White said on Saturday night."
